I definitely think the problems are more structural than tactical.  It&#039;s possible that a slower pace would prevent fatigue, but ultimately I think the problem is talent.  Both an overall lack, and a poorly balanced mix.  I believe Rush and Hibbert will get better, but the Pacers need more overall talent, and they need more two-way players.]]></description>

Jim O&#039;s philosophy forces you to be in the best possible condition, but I&#039;m not positive everyone was.  Missed shots and questionable execution has been known to be symptoms of tired legs.

Second, their porous defense was to blame.  While in the first half, the other team is sort of getting into the flow so Indy jumps them with a solid offensive display.  However, by the time the 2nd half roles around, the opponent has had a chance to make adjustments.  More importantly, they get more focused - especially on the defensive end.  It&#039;s a shame the Pacers didn&#039;t have this gear.  That&#039;s why I think this year will be a little different as Bird made some solid acquisitions that will really help out the defensive side of the ball.]]></description>
