Owwww! Salt in the wound with that SI cover (for Tar Heels like me and Tyler)! The one night in my life I've wished for a bar with no TVs in it.

Great recap, though. You crack me up.

Your points and stats on the interior defense help explain the game. We just had no one show up last night to help on that score. Some of the chatter out there regarding giving Solomon Jones a few minutes may actually have some merit.

That might help, but it wouldn't solve the problem, since, yes, the offensive stunk last night as well. A good-shooting Troy would help, but wouldn't solve things. A return of the real Dun would help too, but I don't think that solves things either. We need a pg who can distribute and create (we have one of each right now) or we need a player who can iso on the post or wing. Roy is a year or two away. DJones is not quite up to the task, but close, and the nearest thing to Danny on the team currently (and maybe even better than bruised heel Danny).

Actually, if Tyler gets on a quick learning curve, he could eventually solve the problem—especially if the couple of great passes the last couple of games indicates he can make things happen if and when defenses ever collapse on him.

Other than that, I'm putting my hopes on a midseason trade.
