The worst part about this current incarnation of the Pacers is the complete lack of directional hope. I honestly don't think Larry Bird has a clue what he is doing. I think he believed this team was an actual contender. Why else would he bring in Earl Watson and Danthay Jones? Why draft a 24 year old in the lottery? It's time for ownership to bring in a progressive franchise builder in the mold of a Presti or Morey and end the Bird vanity project ASAP.

This rebuilding job should have begun in 2005. No excuse for a 5 year delay in beginning it's undertaking.

Another fantastic post here Tim. This might as well be the worst Pacers team ever. I just hope they can make up for this disappointing season coming next year in 2011

I like so many I assume have wondered why the Pacers have watched this entire season come and go and have done nothing to improve the roster. I agree that maybe it is time for Larry Bird to go or either he needs to come back and coach. It just pains me to look at all of these horrible but very believable statistics. We do have some guys we can build around but you have to bring in good guys to go with them....I will use this analogy...you cannot clean dirt with dirt. Hopefully someone in the front office will realize this. Might need #33 to come out of retirement!!
