Like my team (GSW), Indiana is stuck on the mediocrity treadmill. But you have a brighter future. Unlike GSW, which has 3 difficult-to-move contracts (Ellis, Lee, and Biedrins) weighing the team down, Indiana only has one (Granger), and has three relatively large contracts expiring (Dunleavy, Foster, Ford). Without Dunleavy, Foster, or Ford next season, you guys should be even worse, and thus, have a better chance to get a good lottery pick. This is assuming you don’t sign any bad contracts in the off-season (e.g. Dunleavy, Foster, Ford).

Tim, this article was great. I love the way you have broken it down for me to see who this team really is. It looks as if the evidence is pretty damning for the front office. You have been saying that it is not the coach’s fault that the team is losing, and I must say you have convinced me of that through your analysis. Keep up the great work!
