If that’s the deal, it’s just plain stupid. I’m not one who believes that Frank Vogel is the best choice for the job, but come on! A one year deal is a hopeless situation. I hope we give our next coach at least a three year contract. Anything else is unfair to the next coach. Talk about starting behind the eight ball. Surely Larry Bird is smart enough to realize this. If he wants to hire Rick Adelman or Mike Brown get it done. If he wants to hire Vogel, get it over with already, but not with a one year deal. Make a commitment.

He’s one of the best coaches in the league. I don’t think Adelman will come here,but it’d be silly not to try.

Perhaps Vogel will come with options for more years? ex: 1 year guaranteed,team option,team option. That’s the way to go imo.
