[...] Jared Wade of Eight Points, Nine Seconds takes a look at what happened to the Pacers during Orlando&... The run began with two Jameer Nelson/Glen Davis pick-and-rolls that were defended equally poorly. On the first, David West (weakly) moved over to stall Nelson’s ball penetration and make no real attempt to recover as Jameer made an easy bounce pass to a rolling Davis. No other Pacer reacted either and Baby got the easy dunk. On the second, Nelson found no resistance and drove all the way to the hoop for an uncontested layup. [...]

Vogel has run some very good sets out of time outs. How about the possession where he called time out with 6 seconds left on the shot clock and people were killing him for it until he ran the perfect play for a George Hill runner that we desperately needed? The last play of the game looked like it was broken by poor execution before the ball was even inbounded, but George Hill still got to the line for the winning free throws. Despite being mauled on that play, Hill still got the ball to a wide open Barbosa for 3 which would have either won the game or expired the clock to send the game into double OT so I don't really see how you can complain too much about that. SVG has done a great job in this series, but he has a much more experienced team. It takes experience to win in the playoffs which is why I'm not worried about the near collapse. The Pacers have to win this kind of series to get that experience to be able to compete against teams like Miami.

@little B. I've been saying the same thing. We need a fan promotion to submit plays. Because either the players completely forget what they're doing or the coaches are clueless. I've never seen a team either not take a shot or clearly not get a shot that it wants so many times.

The Day Vogel comes up with a play that actually works in the final possession of a game is the day I will believe the Pacers can actually beat some 'actual' competition in the playoffs. So you got less tha 1 week Frank to muster something up. The Pacers don't even get a shot off most of the times when they come out out of a timeout with minimal seconds on the clock, let alot get a good look. Its not all Vogel's fault but this has been a HUGE Problem all season.
