Congrats Franklin
this is truly an honor. There are 30 coaches in the league. to be considered in the upper 90 percentile... stellar.
do I agree? of course he is top 3. Pop clearly was #1 this year, anyone who denies that does not actually watch the games. Thibs... I dunno. I give him major props for holding the team together with Rose out, but the fact is that team is stacked and has a ton of really good players, so much to the fact that their superstar can sit out a large portion of the season and they can still wrap up #1 seed. Is that a testament to the coach or to the quality of the players? How would he have done with the Bobcats this season? but bottom line, hard not to give coach of the #1 team the nod.

Lionel is also a good coach, but Vogel has really stepped it up this season. the rest of the field... that's just 71 points of votes wasted. Del Negro probably had his mom vote for him.

Considering Vogel is so young, there is only room for improvement. With the sights on keeping this core together for a while, having Vogel "grow up" with them is something I much prefer to bringing in say, Larry Brown or Phil Jackson or someone "established" and shake up the dynamic.

I am glad Vogel received the recognition that I believed he deserved from the rest of the League. I wasn't expecting him to beat out guys like Pop and Thibs, but I think that much like our Pacer team, Frank is growing right in front of our eyes. I know he has taken his share of flak from the Pacer fans for his "golly gee" image and the fact that he isn't an extremely polished playcaller, but he has been a huge breath of fresh air for this team and this community and I think he will only continue to get better and grow with this team. The assistants: Shaw, Burke, and Boylelyn all deserve a lot of credit for their work, as well as Larry for putting it altogether! What a great time to be a Pacer fan!!!
