Bad news for Lance Stephenson, who will miss tonights affair in Atlanta with a knee injury. In his place will be Danny Granger, who is starting for the first time since Jeff Foster was the face of the franchise. Well, at least the hair of the franchise.
Granger has scored double-digit points in each of his past five games, and played more than 30 minutes (32) for the first time this year. It looks like he is getting past the frozen-in-carbonite stage of his return after much time off, and the extra minutes of late have likely helped him look less fatigued in the second half.
This start comes on the second night of a back to back, so perhaps he will show some signs of wear and tear, but Rasual Butler was playing well before Granger’s return so he will likely see some run if Danny isn’t up to another 30-minute night.
